Established in 1949 as the Rochester Royals they moved to Cincinnati in 1957. The Royals then became
the Kansas City-Omaha Kings in 1971 and changed their name to the Kansas City Kings in 1974. Their last
move was in 1983 when they became the Sacramento Kings. The team won the NBA title in 1951
as the Rochester Royals. Their home is the Arco Arena which opened in 1988.
